Stetzer Will Challenge Associations at SUMMIT

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA Dr. Ed Stetzer has confirmed that he will be the keynote speaker for the January 7-9, 2008 Summit of the Network of Baptist Associations (NoBA). The Associational Summit is held annually for the professional development of Southern Baptist associational staff. “If there is anyone in Southern Baptist life that has a sense of the dynamics of ministry in a changing American culture, it is Ed Stetzer,” stated Sid Hopkins, National Chairman of the Network of Baptist Associations. Hopkins further stated, “Dr. Stetzer will challenge our thinking, our structures, our systems and our comfort zones. Associational leaders need to be at the forefront of all things missional and Stetzer will push us to closely examine who we are and who we need to become.”

Dr. Ed Stetzer has served in churches for 20 years. He has also served as a seminary professor, the senior director of the Center for Missional Research at the North American Mission Board and now as Director of Lifeway Research and Missiologist in Residence for Lifeway Christian Resources. He has written dozens of articles and books including "Breaking the Missional Code" and "Comeback Churches"

Complete information and registration for the January 7-9, 2008 Associational Summit is scheduled for release by late October. In addition to teaching by Ed Stetzer, the Summit will feature sixteen Associational Directors of Missions who will be leading professional enrichment breakout sessions. Attendees to the Summit will have opportunity to attend a wide variety of these training sessions.

The Network of Baptist Associations is a professional community of Baptist associations from forty states that are networking to strengthen each other for the work of assisting churches in accomplishing God’s mission.
